	Applying for Grants Amount requested Purpose Length of project Scope of Project Will the scope be Regional How will it relate to the river Is there a Partnership possibility If there are matching funds are there any deadlines? 1) The time frame of any W&S grant must be defined at presentation and will be a factor in evaluating the request. Typically, grant durations are on the order of one year. 2) These grants are on a reimbursement basis, supported by receipts. 3) We ask for quarterly progress reports coincident with our quarterly meetings and a final written report. 4)Lower Delaware River Wild and Scenic Grant Program is fine for the application. Because of fiduciary support requirements the ensuing executing contract may be with others. 5) Grant payments must be for only those items described in the contract. Food, beverage and related support to project events are prohibited; minimum administrative support is permitted but must be itemized in the contract. We encourage in-kind support here. A final note: We have been asked by the National Parks Service to concentrate on three areas for future grants: 1) Clear River Water; 2) Education; & 3) Land Preservation.
